Observations from the Abyss

When I look at my archives sometimes, it’s frustrating.

Through the muscle relaxants and painkillers… simply put, I find I’m just not as prolific as I used to be. The words don’t come as easily. Lest you dear readers think this is simply writer’s block, the drugs are SLOWING my cognitive processes. As in it actually takes me longer to remember things, and so on.

I’ll see the surgeon in a week from now. Yep, that’s right, I am still waiting to see him. All this after getting my pain doc’s notes for him (because the PA said they still hadn’t gotten them), 2 MRIs, 1 CT, and 1 X-ray scan. What more delays could I have?

Waiting is the hardest thing. Especially waiting in pain. Stay strong.
