If you are in a shell…

Zefrank has got what I think are some of the funniest videos on YouTube.

But this one is really profound.

Watch. I think you’ll see what I mean.

  2. I watched this all the way through, like you wanted, dearheart. I can see, now, why you like it. One day, you, too, will feel safe enough to break free of your shell. I hope I haven’t been making you feel unsafe. If I have, I’m deeply sorry.

    • Some of Zefrank’s videos– I have laughed so hard I could barely breathe– but this one, this one I watched just after letting a little more of the inner bitter hurt out to the blogosphere, in a safe place.

  4. great video – but from the description I was expecting a “funny” or comical video – however, it did not disappoint – this was AWESOME! what a great analogy to show the way life exposure and experience clings and sticks to us – also, well done with the precise body movements, pacing, color mixing, and the constant, balanced voice of the narrator – great post!

    • Yep, Zefrank usually does comedy videos, but this one is more serious. He does have a very steady announcer voice, too, which has led some fans to suggest he needs to do a video with Morgan Freeman.

  5. Thanks for taking the time to reply – and later I noticed that you even mentioned in your post that this video was “profound” – I just missed it! lol

Oh no!!! please – no MORE Morgan Freeman! With all due respect – and I like his voice – especially in Through the Wormhole episodes – but enough is enough. And sometimes a steady voice (like the one in this video) is just what is needed – and so I liked it as-is. 🙂

    • Fair enough. There are other notable individuals with smooth announcer voices.

Incidentally, I practiced speaking like that to overcome telephone phobia, e.g., so that the person on the other end couldn’t tell how nervous I was. Recently, I’ve answered the phone and people (that know me, even) asked if they were talking to a recording.
