It was the closest picture I could find to what’s being done. The surgeon is removing a bone spur off the lamina (but is not removing the whole part), as well as a portion of the disc.
It feels weird to “like” that you’re having surgery, but I sure am glad that they’re doing something that might help make your life in general more comfortable.
