A younger version of me is in one of the picture frames of one of the photos.
Dad worked very hard Memorial Day weekend to get the house ready for these Realtor photos. My folks actually hadn’t planned for the photographer to be ready that soon, and from what Dad told me, keeping up with the Realtor was like chasing a small whirlwind.
There are memories here, some of them awkward and very painful. [EDIT June 1st, 2014] This is my maternal grandparents’ house, and I did not live here permanently: just for a short time after my father finished school, and for many summers during my grade school years.
My father and my second younger sister were here earlier today to gather a few last wanted items and the last of my grandparents’ personal effects. Aside from the picture frames with photos in this video, they requested to have all the remaining furnishings, which will spare my parents the hassle of an estate sale.

The house looks immaculate! There were quite a few picture frames. Is the one you speak of black and white and in the kitchen? 🙂

Nope… it’s a color photo in the third bedroom photo after the kitchen (well, after the one that was actually an office, as you can see). There might be another one with younger sister #1 in the dining area.
Younger sister #2 and my father were here today to gather the last few items that were wanted and to gather the last of my grandparents’ personal effects– yeah, I forgot to mention this is my grandparents’ house… they are in assisted living now.

I haven’t really had a sense of closure. The last time I was there was during https://jaklumen.wordpress.com/2011/04/15/waw-part-2-cat-tales/
