Note– the metal cap oddly did not seem to have any threads, so I replaced it with a plastic one.

Capture for Rob Ross at Rob’s Surf Report and his post What’s the big deal about Sriracha?
The "rooster" brand made and distributed by Huy Fong Foods is the sort of Sriracha most people are familiar with. I picked this up at one of our local Asian groceries. It’s runnier like Tabasco or other Latin-American style hot sauces; it doesn’t have a tomato puree base like the Huy Fong "rooster" brand. It still has that delicious red jalapeño flavor with a hint of sweetness.

I wish I could eat that stuff. My son puts it on everything. My insides are a bit too sensitive for such “fire”. I’ll stick to alcohol, thank you very much. 🙂

Alcohol is fiery in its own way, isn’t it?

We just got some Chipotle Key Lime BBQ sauce that’s pretty good.
Nowhere near as hot as this.

*drool* that sounds like a perfect combination– smokey chipotle with the sweet tang of Key lime.
Not as spicy, but it does sound quite good. Who manufactures that, then? I don’t think I’ve come across it before.

This bottle is from Kermit’s Key West Lime Shop.
We were in a surf shop recently and they had it. It was a good pick – made meatloaf with it and it came out great!

Oh dear… probably not too accessible to me, then, unless they do Internet orders.
