no pervs for a family account

I had to block and report a certain user on Flickr three times– someone who I thought was nice and worthy of trust– but then made sexual comments in regards to my children.

I’ve known for a long time that Flickr has a dark side (Friends & Family content restriction is viewed by some as access to carnal pleasures), but I didn’t know it went this dark.

EDIT January 31, 2013: SOMEONE STEPPED OVER THE LINE TODAY.

This is Princess. She is only 10. She is not ignorant or uninformed about sexuality, but she’s really not interested in your nakie good time photos– and she’s not interested in showing herself in a prurient way. She’s also one of our principal photographers and actively participates in this account, and so it’s not appropriate– not just by our reasoning, but by most international laws. The same applies for our son.

I’M NOT GOING TO FOOL AROUND ANYMORE. You step over the line, ask for something inappropriate, you WILL be blocked. We have real family that participates in this account– one who is a VERY active member, and they aren’t going to tolerate this crap either.

I also lost a good and decent Flickr friend to crap like this; I think he was blackmailed by some pervert that didn’t get what he/she wanted. I’m really not messing around.

Wherever you see "jaklumen", that's me. The username is still unique as of 2016, so it's just me, and only me. It's the real me, because I'm bad at faking otherwise.

  1. Comments are welcome, and appreciated… but please remember this post will be treated in the usual time sensitive manner.

  2. Wow. Horrible. I’m so sorry that this kind of thing is happening. It’s good that you fight back…but it would be great if you weren’t in the position of having to, to begin with. Families should be safe.
