Christmas sales last Thanksgiving Day had the media (online and offline) buzzing. I thought it fitting to ask how the Vox Diaspora feels about this in this week’s Question (QotW).

Black Friday, as it’s known in the U.S., has crept up earlier and earlier each year that now many U.S. retailers held sales on Thanksgiving Day (November 22).

Did you go shopping on Thanksgiving?  Why or why not?

For Ex-Voxers and friends not in the U.S. (or consider this a bonus question): Do you start your Christmas shopping early?  Boxing Day early?

Wherever you see "jaklumen", that's me- the username is still unique as of the current year. Be aware that the facet you see, is only a small part of the me that is me.

  1. I did go shopping on Thanksgiving because the German stores were open but I didn’t buy anything for I really have enough stuff already.

  2. No shopping on Thanksgiving, or the day after Thanksgiving, or the Saturday after Thanksgiving, or the Sunday after Thanksgiving– one of those very rare occasions where I showed good sense four days in a row… : P

Hope you and yours had a good one, Jak!

(i.e., a good Thanksgiving, not a good shopping excursion before, during, or after!!)
