Another testament to the goodness of bacon.

Bacon wrapped jalapeños, stuffed with cheddar cheese.  The great tastes that taste great together– but unlike peanut butter and chocolate for Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, SISO is in effect: spicy in, spicy out.

This was cooked with the Tulsi solar-electric oven.

  1. Looks yummy. But I don't like spice-y so I'll have to pass. That Solar Oven thing looks cool. I need to check on that….with temps in the upper 90's and heat indexes in the triple digits my front entrance just bakes and if you aren't careful you can actually burn your self on the door. When it is this hot you have to make sure to turn the knob (really quick although the gold colored knob doesn't get as hot as the dark brown door) and give the door a little kick to get it open…if you use your arm like you do in the winter, well, you are taking a chance that you will come into the house seeking ice and cold water.

  2. Doug asked about it– you can actually make your own from a plethora of plans out there on the Internet. The Tulsi oven wasn't cheap at about 250US$, but it was something I figured would work best for my needs. With weather like you're having I think solar cooking could go very well, if you learn to do it right… I'm figuring it out, anyways.

  4. Definitely the right time of year for solar cooking. Those look tasty, but I doubt I could eat more than one… Again, yikes!
